February 14th is rapidly approaching, and it's time to start thinking about what sweet treats you want to give your loved ones. When I was thinking about what to buy for my family, I realized that sometimes the most precious gifts don't cost anything!
Thoughtful words and a simple act of kindness can go a long way, and that's exactly what I decided to do this year.
This weekend I ordered twelve Valentine's balloons, three for my husband and two boys, Caden and Cooper. I created three hearts from scrapbook paper from the house and wrote some of my favorite qualities about each of them.
When my family reads their message, I pray that they realize how special they are and God's beautiful gifts that I see in them.
To make it a surprise, I tied the balloons to each person's bathroom sink to see it when they got home from baseball practice and work.
Sometimes the best gifts are hearing (or reading) that you are special and loved; and I think this simple idea does just that!
It's already February 8th, so just a few more days until Valentine's Day! I hope this suggestion offers you a quick tip on the day to show love!
