How Small Can Make a Big Impact

The best things come in small packages, right? Well, that’s actually what our Mom created when she remodeled an old building on our property that she lovingly calls, The Vet Clinic. Here are 5 tips on how to give small spaces BIG statements while still having an intimate and comfy atmosphere.

1. Keep It Light and Bright

Keep the color light and bright to open up small rooms and create a clean, open feel.

2. Every Space Can Be Used

Make use of every nook and surface for storage and organization.

3. Porches Add Another Room

Add an outdoor room like a covered patio or porch to extend the living area.

4. No Clutter

Declutter…we’ll say it again…NO CLUTTER! Keep furnishing and artwork to a minimum to create a space that reads bigger than it really is.

5. Make the Space About You

And…most importantly make the space about you and all that you love. After all, you will be living in it!

In our mom’s case, it would have been a waste of space to have a large cooktop because she rarely cooks, preferring to use an induction toaster oven, or microwave instead. It’s perfect for her. So however, you revamp your small space, make it function for your lifestyle.

We hope these tips help you create a small space that you treasure. Remember, "love grows best in little houses” just like this!

All our love,

amber & brooke
